ARCHES Huile is the only oil painting paper made on a cylinder mould, now available in a generous roll format for large-scale oil paintings and continuous compositions.
MADE ON A CYLINDER MOULD (TRADITIONAL PROCESS)
Quality close to that of paper made by craft methods. The slow turning of the cylinder enables the fibres to be deposited evenly and spread in all directions over the wire. The paper is homogeneous, with a flatter surface and better wet strength and stability, giving the artist more control.
COMPOSITION AND SURFACE
100% cotton with a canvas-grain texture that faithfully reproduces the feel of traditional linen canvas. The effective oil barrier prevents oil from penetrating the paper, ensuring colours remain vibrant on the surface. Lightweight and easy to transport compared to stretched canvas.
USES
Designed specifically for oil painting and oil pastels. The roll format (130cm x 9.15m) provides ample working area for large-scale works, murals, and studio projects. Can be cut to any desired size.
