This paper is distinguished by its thickness and strength, two essential qualities for meeting the demands of this technique. Its new texture replicates the random weave of linen for better paint adhesion.
The canvas grain of Canson Acrylic is particularly well suited to working with diluted paint applied in thin layers, to create transparent washes. It can also be used to superimpose several layers of opaque, undiluted paint to achieve remarkable impasto effects.
